Professional Activity

Head of the legal department at Banca Mas Sardá since 1971. At the same time, from 1971, he combined the above responsibilities with his legal practice by founding Bufete Castilla Abogados, SCP. In 1975 he was appointed Technical Secretary (non-director) of Banco de Expansión Industrial. In 1980, he was appointed Head of the Legal Advice Department and Secretary of the Board of Banca Mas Sardá, S.A. In 1989, he was appointed external legal advisor to Banco Urquijo. Since 1990, he has been Secretary of the Board of Directors of Privat Bank Degroof, S.A. and external legal advisor to the same.

Academic Training

Degree in Law from the University of Barcelona. Commercial Expert Technical Studies from the University of Barcelona. Training courses in Business Management and Administration given by ESADE. Diploma from the School of Legal Practice. Diploma from the Centre for Tax Studies. Several specialisation courses on ‘Civil Procedural Law’ and the ‘Bankruptcy Law’ given by the ICAB and ESADE.
